In recent years, Chile has implemented a wide variety of free market economic policies and introduced a series of modifications aimed at facilitating the participation of private enterprise in non-traditional economic areas such as social security, health care, education, municipal services, electrical energy, telecommunications and transportation. With this publication Libertad y Desarrollo, seeks to disseminate Chilean experience in these fields, thereby strengthening support for free market economics and private enterprise both in Chile and around the world.
