Reseña del libro

Priscilla and the Sandman is a 32 page children's picture book by Anders Roseberg. After not wanting to go to bed night after night, Priscilla is told about the Sandman from her mother. In the turn of a page, she is visited by Mr. Sandman- an adorable, upright walking cat. With her stuffed toy Rabbit, the three of them wander off through the field of dreams toward the land of sweets. Priscilla learns that going to bed and having dreams can be more than exciting, it can be magical."Priscilla, if you want to have good dreams, tell Sandman what you need.Sugar crystals as the stars and a moon that's made of cheese.Houses made of gingerbread and peanut butter trees. If you want to have good dreams, come and follow me."Priscilla and the Sandman; Enter the Land of Sweets is a rhythmic picture book where each line ends with the "Long E' sound. The realistic imagery of the pictures will really pull kids into the magic of the book, making it a classic of all ages. Authors note: In 2014 I was blessed with a beautiful baby girl and, being the enormous Elvis fan I am, I named that precious face Priscilla. I would often gently sway her in my forearms faceup, gaze into her angel-like state, and make up songs and lyrics off the top of my head. One day I was humming a little doo-wop melody while rocking her to sleep and the foundation to Priscilla and the Sandman was born. All the lyrics I sang to her are included in Priscilla and the Sandman, and then some. Why the land of sweets? Well, what else does a child dream about other than playtime and family? I don't advocate giving your child a bunch of candy and letting her scarf down on junk. Instead, I want to show children what a vivid imagination can create. They needn't fear sleeping or be bothered about going to bed. They can dream big, and in their dreams anything and everything is possible. -Anders Roseberg
