This volume commemorates the sixtieth anniversary of the presentation of The Young and the Damned at the Cannes Film Festival held in 1951 and the success of which was largely the result of the activism by Octavio Paz. That event, as evidenced by these pages, became the foundation of a friendship united by a common interest in film and literature that was maintained until the end of his life. Together with the illustrative prologue of José de la Colina, are also included Pazs texts written for the presentation of the film and the poem The forgotten ones by Jacques Prévert.
