The book provides an illustrated history of Glasgow Royal Infirmary, and the personnel who contributed to medicine, surgery and nursing over the ages. It also indicates the start of hospital radiology and the complicated relationships between the University of Glasgow and the Faculty of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow which became the Royal College in the 1960s.
