Reseña del libro

A prohibited work for revealing hypocrisies. When Lawrence published his last novel in 1928, it unchained the anger of those who felt alluded by it, and that hurried them to declaring the work as immoral and to prohibiting it. The truth is that Lawrence in this novel, symbolized in Lord Chatterley the whole British Empire, paralyzed and impotent, whereas his wife, due to her husband disability was finding an option in a middle class man. The symbols were too obvious for Lawrence to be excused and only the exertion of justice, which declared that it was a work of great literary merits, managed to cease with the prohibitions. Besides his deep battering to hypocrisy, it is a novel with an entertaining plot and because this, it has been considered to be one of the greatest works in the English literature of the 20th century.

"El libro llegó en buen estado. La edición es ilustrada y bonita. La historia no me gustó mucho, pero es ya es algo personal. "
