Reseña del libro

Of all wading birds, moorhens are among the most vulnerable, though they are also beautiful, small and black, with hard red beaks that extend all the way up their foreheads. Without webbed feet, they bob forward and back when swimming, and with short wings, they can barely fly. They are fiercely territorial, and mate for life. Mik the moorhen has grown up knowing how fragile life can be, but he never imagined the horror that would confront him as he watches his family being devoured by an alligator. The youngest of a family of six, he is now alone. Mik sets out to live up to his nickname, "Mischief," and shatters the moorhen stereotype. Cocky, but with low self esteem, he must battle predators on a wilderness lake. . .but not even his tricks are enough to stand against Greybeard, the evil great blue heron who is controlled by the Black Menace. But life has hope in store for Mik, along with the tragedy he's already endured. A wise great white heron, the Sage, becomes Mik's mentor, and through mindfulness introduces him to his mate, Bek. Follow along with Mik, the Sage, and Bek as they assemble an army to do battle with Greybeard, the Blake Menace and overturn their reign of terror!
